About the Photographer:

Joseph Aponte was born and raised in the city of San Francisco. He started his career as an artist in 2011 and was nominated as an Artseed artist in residence, granting him an art studio at the Hunters Point Shipyard. Joseph has worked as an arts instructor for over 10 years, teaching arts in the community, including San Francisco juvenile hall. During the pandemic, Joseph took up photography and videography, becoming proficient at an accelerated pace by taking pictures every day. Eventually, he landed a significant role on the Success Center's social media team, gaining valuable experience photographing and recording events around San Francisco. He has expertise in many forms of photography, from digital to film and even infrared photography.
